Transcript of records and study certificate
The electronic transcript of records and study certificate are PDF documents equipped with a digital signature to confirm their authenticity and integrity. The digital signature replaces handwritten signatures and stamps.
The electronic transcript of records/ study certificate may be ordered through Peppi.
Electronic documents are official only in their digital form and not as paper-printed copies, for example. They can not be modified, as any change made to the file invalidates the digital signature.
The electronic transcript/study certificate should be a valid alternative in all situations where signed and stamped paper documents are used. Whatever the transaction, if the party concerned does not accept your digitally signed document, you may request a signed and stamped paper document from an student services desk.
Ordering documents from office of the faculty
The University of Lapland will charge a fee for document orders according to the following price list (based on the Finnish Government Decree on University Service Fees 1082/2009). The account for paying the fee is:

Attach the payment receipt as an email attachment when ordering the document from the student services office of the faculty related to your studies:

- Paper copy of the degree certificate, mailed 20€/degree

Please note that during your studies, you can obtain a digitally certified student certificate and transcript for free from Peppi (see instructions for using Peppi). After completing your studies, you might also view some of your academic records in the Finnish National Agency for Education’s My Studyinfo service.
When you graduate from the University of Lapland, you will receive a certificate of your studies at no additional charge.
